TSUULL PROFESSORS IN POLAND
Professors of Alisher Navo'i Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature, PhD. Aida Bumatova and Zaure Kertaeva met with the vice-dean of Faculty of Philology, University of Bialystok, Poland, Dr.Robert Szymula.
Dr.Szymula showed a great interest in Uzbekistan and offered to further academic and cultural cooperation between two universities.
Senior teacher of Intercultural Communication and tourism department, Zaure Kertaeva conducted a lecture for students of English philology faculty of University of Bialystok, Poland on the topic “Using sociocultural theory of Vygotsky in teaching and to facilitate autonomous learning”.
The lecture covered the issues related to sociocultural theory, its application in language classroom, methods of scaffolding and supporting independent learning.
Students and the host teachers also shared their own experiences related to learner autonomy.
