A CENTER OF CHINESE LANGUAGE AND CULTURE WAS OPENED AT OUR UNIVERSITY
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of China, Mrs Jiang Yan visited Tashkent State University of Uzbek language and literature. The Ambassador was received by the Pro-Rector of the University, Dr. S. Normatov, the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Philology,. S.Mukhamedova, Deputy Dean N.Nuradullayev, Head of the Department of Computer Linguistics and Digital Technology B.Yelov, employee of the International Department H.Lukmanov. The Ambassador attended the opening ceremony of the Center for Chinese Language and Culture at the University and its classrooms. The first speaker at the ceremony was the Vice-rector of the university S. Normatov. He spoke about socio-political, cultural, scientific ties between China and Uzbekistan in recent years, as well as the work being done at the university in this direction, and outlined plans for further cooperation. The vice-chancellor of the university thanked the ambassador on behalf of the university administration for the visit and presented her with a bouquet as a sign of respect. The floor was given to the ambassador. The ambassador thanked the administration of the university for the respect and attention and said that the Embassy of the People's Democratic Republic of China in Uzbekistan will continue to do good deeds related to the university. Ambassador talked about plans for the future, including wishing that the center creates better conditions for students to study Chinese language and culture and said that by the end of 2021 the center will be equipped with new technical equipment. Dean of the Applied Philology Department S. Mukhamedova and 1st year Applied Philology student Diyara Hakimova also thanked the Ambassador on behalf of teachers and students learning Chinese for the opportunities that were created at the center. At the end of the visit, the two sides exchanged views on future projects.
