7TH INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC-THEORETICAL ONLINE CONFERENCE

The invaluable creative and scientific heritage of the great poet and thinker, famous statesman and public figure Alisher Navo’i has a special place not only in the history of Uzbekistan, but also in the history of world literature. He plays a great role in the development of our national culture and literary and aesthetic thinking. In his poetic and prose works, the great poet, with all his charm and grace, has won a worthy place in the hearts of millions of readers all around the world.
In recent years, a number of measures have been taken to study the rich and diverse creative heritage of Alisher Navo’i, to promote his immortal works in our country and abroad, and to immortalize his memory. In accordance with the Presidential Decree on the celebration of the 580th anniversary of the great poet and thinker Alisher Navo’i, the 7th International Scientific-Theoretical Online Conference entitled "Alisher Navo’i and the XXI Century" was held on February 5, 2022 at Alisher Navo’i Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature. The conference was attended by accomplished scientists and Navo’i studies scholars from the United States, Russia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Iran, Tajikistan and Afghanistan. The conference was opened by the rector of Alisher Navo’i Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature, Doctor of Philology, Professor Shuhrat Sirojiddinov.
The annual observance of international conference would broke into eight sections, where all participants of the conference had an opportunity to demonstrate their scholastic skills and knowledge of the historical facts related to Alisher Navo'i cultural heritage. In particular, the Vice-President of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan Isa Habibbeyli spoke about the role of Alisher Navoi's work in world civilization, Assistant Professor of Istanbul University of Turkey Emek Usenmez mentioned the contribution to the unification of Turkic-speaking peoples, Alisher Navo’i provided valuable information about copies of the manuscript. Furthermore, it should be noted that, Darya Zhigulskaya, an associate professor at the Institute of Asia and Africa at Lomonosov Moscow State University, spoke in pure Uzbek about Alisher Navoi's work.
