According to the conclusion of the Scientific Council of the Alisher Navo’i Tashkent State University of the Uzbek Language and Literature, Social-Humanitarian Sciences and Information technologies faculty was established in 2022. The faculty prepares specialists in 3 fields:
Specialists in computer linguistics are engaged in software development, research, organizational and management activities, consulting service activities in companies producing software products and Internet companies, higher and secondary special education system organizations, republican state and non-state publishing houses
Literary source studies and textual studies - the study of scientific and theoretical problems of Uzbek textual studies, in particular, theoretical issues of literary source studies and textual studies, originality and translation, as well as the issue of interpretation in the study of literary sources specialized in studying problems;
Sociology is a field of education aimed at the formation of self-awareness, respect for the national-spiritual heritage, patriotism, loyalty to the noble traditions of our people and universal values based on the principles of national education. Graduates of this course are able to inculcate the skills of self-education and self-awareness, to create a holistic vision of students about the surrounding world.

Faculty team participates in various scientific projects. In particular, "Creating a linguo-didactic platform of Turkish languages", "Creating an educational corpus of the Uzbek language", "Automatic processing tool for information search systems (Google, Yandex, Google translate) morpholexicon and morphological analyzer software of the Uzbek language" including projects such as "creating a tool". Famous scholarship holders, winners of the "Student of the Year" competition, and prize winners of the "Young Reader" republican competition study at the faculty. 42 professors and teachers, including 5 doctors of science, 20 candidates of science, conduct scientific and pedagogical activities at the faculty. Faculty professors are specialists in applied linguistics, computer linguistics, and information technologies.
